Powder Keg 600th
Trail Reviews72 hashers from Buffalo, Flour City, Hogtown, Twat, Oakville, Ithaca, Carolina Trash, Halve Mein, Toledo, Rouge Full Moon, Holidaze, Rumson, Eerie, Baghdad, Pittsburgh, Munich, and Okinawa showed up for a shitty trail celebrating Buffalo's 600th!  500th hash hares Crash, Bangs for a Buck, and Dr FAL reunited to set another shitty trail through Buffalo, NY.  Hashers met up at the Buffalo Bar and Grill on Louisiana Street and circled up in the abandoned Police Station's parking lot across the street for destructions and introductions.  Trail started with Crash's leg which led down Louisiana to a BC 5 at South Park.  The pack was momentarily confounded, seemingly exhausting all avenues, until Fertilize Her headed up a footprint free hill and found an arrow leading the pack to Chicago St. Trail backchecked to another hill leading to Moore St, over to South Park, and down Michigan St where the pack crossed the Michigan Street bridge to another backcheck leading back to the Swannie House and a path along the Buffalo River.  The pack held up for a Hash View next to the Edward M. Cotter Fireboat where a snowball fight broke out.

Trail continued down the path to the HSBC Arena and a Turkey Eagle split.  Turkeys headed up Main St then over Pearl to the BN located under the 190.  The very scenic Eagle trail led through the Commercial Slip and Naval Park, to Marine Dr where the very heavy foot traffic from the Powder Keg festival started to take its toll on trail marks.  Trail did lead under the 190 through a parking lot and the 1st BN / Pudding Shot Stop.  Some FRBs kept going right through the festival and found marks from the 2nd leg but realized they had beer tickets for the Powder Keg Beer Tent and doubled back.  Others followed Gazelleria to the pond hockey rinks.  Most of the pack found its way to the stop where Mount Me somehow found a parking spot and served 200 pudding shots, Genny, Genny Bock, and the end of the Molson Light I accidentally bought.

It was there that Bangs announced that the pack was heading to the Powder Keg Festival to enjoy the beer tent and everyone had 45 minutes to try out the ice maze or whatever else was offered.  Powder Keg Festival organizer Jeff Empric was extremely generous in donating 2 beers per hasher in the tent.  Most hashers congregated there and enjoyed Labatts and Powder Keg Ale.  The festival was cranking!  It was definitely a huge success and Buffalo looked like a happening town!  The pack all met up in the tent and we were on out for Bangs' leg of the trail.  I short cutted down Main while the Turkeys rode the Metro Rail, but true trail headed around City Hall and looped through downtown where eventually everyone found the 3rd BN at Electric Avenue at the corner of E. Mohawk and Ellicott St.  Inga the barmaid poured 20 pitchers of Rolling Rock.  The pack was on in back to The Buffalo Bar and Grill.  Some followed true trail that FAL had set and Gazelleria helped re-mark while those who knew downtown blazed their own more direct route.  I know I'm not doing justice to the last 2 legs of the trail but I shortcutted both so feel free to add any needed details!

Everyone made it back to the bar for Udder's circle.  Aided by a small amplifier and microphone, Udder had prepared several jokes and kept the circle laughing and moving.  Hares and mismanagement were called up first and then Udder did a great job of getting all of the out of towners up on the stage for down downs.  Udder's best laugh of the night was his story about Mudman, Robin Wood, free drinks, and a sausage.  Eventually everyone was called in the circle and we were on to the food and party.   Beer, pizza, beer, wings, beer, roast beef, and beer was enjoyed by all.

Thanks to everyone who made the 600th a great success!  Thanks to everyone for cumming and celebrating our milestone!  Best comment received from Tubslut, "Had a great time. You have a nice bunch of hashers in Buffalo. Felt very much at home."

On On,
Crash

http://www.buffalonews.com/2010/03/05/977634/dive-in.html Thanks to the Hashers who made this happen. Udder singled out Pink and Gazelleria and I would agree that those two worked their asses off. We know they do it for love, because they sure as hell don't get any money out of it! :-)

Hash in the Buff!

You understand that this is a totally unorganized, unsanctioned, unsafe, immature,
irresponsible, and downright foolish thing to do. Yet, you choose to do it anyway on
your own free will (Hell, you'll even pay to do so). Yes, you are stupid.
If you get hurt, it is your own damn fault.
